Our Daytona Day Trip - Part 1

We had a wonderful time in Daytona, FL at Bubba Gumps (a restaurant associated with the movie Forest Gump). There was no room inside for all to sit and enjoy so we sat outside in the wind. As I said we had a wonderful time.
Allison and her son Jonah came from Illinois to visit her Grandma Carolyn(Carmen's sister) and Grandpa Jerry.
Jerry and Carolyn live in central Florida in an area south of Ocala called "The Villages." That area is more than a retirement community...it is a culture of it's own.
Image driving a golf cart to Wal-Mart (they have golf cart parking spots) and then going to a fast food drive through on you way home. Jerry and Carolyn are even more fun than golf carts too. We love them and we love being with them.

Toni and I haven't seen Allison since we lived in Oklahoma in the early `90's so it was fun to watch Allison and RaeAnn "talk shop" about two-years olds, etc.
